The courier pallet is a very central element in each work zone. The player should always place at least one pallet per zone as it marks the starting and endpoint for the automated logistics, and it's the gateway to connect zones.
When the player places any equipment within a zone that either produces or requires items to work, the automatic logistics will always try to make connections to a courier pallet if the item itself is not used/produced in the zone itself.
This is of course, when there are storge elements in the zone. If there should be no shelves or other means to store items, it will connect the crafter always to the pallet.
Items for the simple case are routed through the corner shelf
Items that are used elsewhere may not end automatically on a pallet
As long a courier pallet is within a delivery area, the player can buy base materials and sell components, modules and products.
Any base material that gets set on a pallet by the automatic logistics is automatically placed on buying if possible. For selling only products get sold automatically, the player needs to set components and modules automatically on selling.
Items can be set for buying and selling automatically by either clicking the for buying and
for selling.
Buying orders will fill up the amount of reserved space in the pallet for that item. The player is ever only paying for the missing items!
Selling orders require an additional information: The maximum amount that should be sold. In the example above the order is set to 90%. This means up to 90 metal sundries will get sold. The first 10 will always remain.
So if there are 100 of 100 on the pallet -> 90 will get sold
but if there are 50 of 100 on the pallet -> 40 will get sold
The player can manually change some rules. In most cases, this is not required, but there are sometimes situations where the player wants to add/delete rules manually.
In the case further above, we produce rods in our zone, but they do not end up on the pallet. If we want to sell the overproduction or transport them away, we need to press +Add Rule.
Any rule that gets added to a pallet will be automatically connected to any shelf providing and requiring that item. So in theory, if your production runs out of items, also the pallet will be able to provide the item.
Rules can be deleted by clicking on the -Icon. But be aware, if you try to delete a rule that is set by the automatic system, it will simply add it again.
It is possible to transfer items between work zones with the courier system. Any item rule on the pallet here will also be displayed in the courier system. Only items on courier pallets can be exchanged between zones.
To change the settings what is allowed to be transported, it is required to switch the view by clicking on the ( CONFIGURE)-button.
