The bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip is the complementary part for the bld_stower_tier01 and is used to retrieve goods in a specific order from an inventory and push it onto a conveyor segment.
The player will need to place the back of the retrieval segment with the back to an inventory, the arrow on the model itself always points into the direction of the belt-flow. After the segment has been placed, the player will need to add a configuration to it.
For that the segment must be clicked and a new window will open.
In here it is first necessary to click on "Add New" which will open the "Select Item" widget. Through a click on an item type, it will create an entry with the amount of 0.
Important: You need to change the amount, entries with the amount 0 will be skipped.
The numbers are basically a ration in which you take out items. In the example the retriever pulls out items of a bld_courier_pallet01 to provide a bld_placement_tier01.
The item it's sett to produce are itm_circuit_board for this the machines requires an input of 10 itm_plastic and 10 itm_metal.
The ratio that needs to end up on the belt is 1:1, but since the machines always takes 10 of both items the items can be also set to 10 for each. The bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip will then to proceed to take out 10 itm_plastic and after that 10 itm_metal.
After the queue has been worked through, the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip will be starting from the top again.
The function of the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip is mainly to take items in a certain ration out of an inventory, but this is quite versatile and powerful.
There are some additional not obvious things one can do with them:
Shelf Split
By placing two or more bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip to take from any inventory, it is possible to make a split. But this works only as long enough materials are supplied. As soon they try to take out more than available it might be that only one of the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip is actually retrieving items.
Belt Split
Another option is to place the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip to take sideways away from another belt segment. This works with any belt segment! (e.g. bld_overhead_transporter_tier01)
Picking from Machines
Machines, like shelfes and conveyor segments have an inventory and thus the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip is able to pick items from the machine if there is a connection for the conveyor belt or if an employee could pick from this tile.
Short Corners
As the segments can even take from themself, with a little trick it is possible to make starting corners for the conveyor flow by picking with a bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip from another one.
Freeplay
During Freeplay the bld_puller_tier01.nolink.notip will be unlocked by completing milestone #03: "fpl_goal_desc.goalTarget=1 500"
Alongside any other conveyor segment gets currently unlocked.
Level 01 - 04
Conveyor belts are generally not available in those levels.
Level 05 - 06
Only the basic conveyor belt is available. They can be directly used from the beginning. In level 5 the player will need to progress through milestones to unlock itm_conveyor_part
Level 07 - 08
The segment will be available directly at the beginning of the levels. There are no further introduction but there will be probably a better gating and tutorialization in the near feature.
Challenge: Money Rush
The segment is directly available from start, but due to the time limit on the challenge quite unpractiable to use as preparing belt parts takes too long.
