If possible, please always use the Markdown-Editor
We use many Replacement Scripts which require HTML elements to be usable. Not using the Markdown-Editor results in not being able to used advanced functionality.
The official wiki will be available in all officially supported languages. But entries will only be made by the editors for respective languages. Editors who apply can choose the languages they want to edit for.
The optimal case would be to offer every page in every available language. For this if you add new pages, please use the same path as the English page.
So if you want to translate /game-modes/campaign into your language for example, it should have the same path. This ensures that a reader switching the language on a page, will automatically land on the same page where he switched the language. Site linking is not yet supported by wiki.js
It works currently by looking for elements with specific class names. In the future we might change it to tags used in the text as it might be more compatible with the markdown editor.
Details can be found here: Data Replacements
For the stylesheet we simply overwrite and add on the existing style. But most of the usages of the style currently need html classes to be defined. A full list of supported classes can be found on the style help page
Everyone willing can contribute to it via the git project:
Wiki.js does currently not support templates, this may be added in the future
The developers involved in the wiki will be mostly act as Editors. Feel free to update pages created by developers. If the dev team wishes to protect specific sites to be changed it will deny permissions for editors. Also the dev team does not claim to know or do everything better
The dev team will try to contribute to the English wiki pages from time to time. But please understand as a wiki is a huge thing, we count on community contributions to keep it up to date and expand on it. A wiki is only possible if many dedicated people work together.
